Default Leather Roofliner questions

Has anyone here ordered the leather roofliner. On the Porsche configurator it's about $1800 and on my pdf order guide, option XMA is $1180. Are these the same things?

Default Is that the same as..

I have the full leather interior and my roof liner is this Ultrasuede material.
Is that different than what you are referring to?
The Ultrasuede is very nice.

I'm talking about the option to have the roof liner made of leather.

Default Another option...

I didn't know you could get a leather roof liner. Good thing I bought mine off the showroom floor, or else it could have gotten out of control!

I have found the order guide to be more accurate. For example, the configurator shows sport seats at $760 but the order guide and my dealer's computer showed them at $400 with the full leather interior. I would believe the order guide's price but you should check with your dealer because the price on his computer when he orders your car is the only one that matters.

Thanks, I think a leather roof liner would be a nice touch when coupled with full leather.

Lori,

I agree.

If I were to custom order a coupe (and not just buy one off of the show room floor), then I probably would get the leather roof liner. It would be a nice touch.

All of the Bentley Continental GTs I have been in have leather roof liners.

Adding a leather roof liner to a car optioned with “full leather” would probably increase the total leather surface by about 40% (just a guess). Can you imagine the great leather aroma that would envelop you every time you got into the car? That would be intoxicating!

Lori cautiously opened the door of the sleek, white Porsche. She slid behind the thickly padded steering wheel and into the tightly bolstered, lipstick red seat. The aroma of fine leather enveloped her as she extended her left hand toward the ignition and her heart raced with anticipation.

Fine Corinthian leather surrounded her.

Now that sounds like a trashy romance novel I wouldn't mind reading....can't wait to see your car. Recalling my first impressions of full leather interior at delivery, the combined aroma of full leather w/leather roofliner should definitely be certified as a narcotic.

I had the leather roof liner on the turbo. Very nice option. Make sure you get leather sunvisors too, or it wont look right.

Yes, I would say a bit titillating, if not salacious... but it definitely has the hallmarks of a good introduction. ... Now if she had mentioned that the leather matched the color of her glistening lips, I might be tempted to read further. ... And had she mentioned that she was clad in black leather pants, well, I might just be reading my first trashy romance novel cover to cover!

Leather headliners show toenail scratches much more easily than ultrasuede. Be careful what you ask for . . .
