I was also rooting for notre dame, I didnot want to see USC win. A friend of mine is an alumni of USC and does nothing but bug me when it comes to USC football. January's Rose Bowl 2006 was a sweet one!!!!

Trojan fans...enjoy it while it lasts. The Irish are on the way back. Remember the stretch of games in the mid-80's to early-90's when Notre Dame won seven or eight in a row over USC? I do. I was a student there from 1984-1988. We had our time then. You're having your time now. The momentum ebbs and flows. It always has and always will. You have to admit that the competition has been pretty even over the years (W-L's, National Championships, Heisman winners).
I did find it interesting to hear the USC receiver (#8, I forget his name) describe why he had such good games against ND in '05 and '06. Apparently he was motivated to try extra hard against ND because, even though he really wanted to play for the Irish, ND didn't offer him a football scholarship because ND didn't think he would be able to handle their academic requirements. Gotta love that! USC beat us with our own rejects, but ND still probably made the right call.
Tradition. Integrity. Notre Dame.

You got it all wrong, Jim.
Dwayne Jarrett (#8) never said he wanted to play for ND. He said he was heavily recruited by them but that they suddenly dropped their interest when they thought he couldn't hack it in school.
Yeah, I remember those draught years at SC. I graduated in '93 and it was painful in the early 90s when we kept losing to ND and UCLA - the two teams we hated the most.
But that was before the Pete Carroll era. We've now won 5 in a row against ND and counting. And we're about to win 8 in a row against UCLA.

OJ just couldn't handle the success that USC confers on its graduates.

Wheel Allignment 997
At 18,500 miles, I just replaced my rear tires, Michelin PS. The inside right rear had worn to the cord while the rest of the tire had 4/32 tread left. I have not tracked the car, obviously but was upset that the toe was off so much on one side. The dealer said I was almost dragging that tire it was so out of alignment. He also pointed out to me that the same tire had an inside patch which meant it had been punctured at some time. Since I bought the car new and have not removed the tire, that meant the tire had been repaired while at the dealership. Porsche does not allow repaired tires and says that can void the warranty on the car. Damn good thing I didn't have a blow out. I have driven that car from Virginia to California and back at some pretty high speeds. Has anyone had this type of alignment problem? I'm a 33+ year Porsche owner and I'm surprised to see that kind of problem and, of course, I had to pay for the alignment. Any comments?

ATTENTION RENNLIST MEMBERS!!!
There's a poll in OT to gauge the statistical distribution of type of Porsche we happen to own and drive. If you own and drive more than one, you are being asked to pick the one you wish to be associated with.
I realize not many here go to OT that often, so I'm here to get out the vote!
Right now, the statistical count for 928s is leading the 911s.
So please do your part to represent the 911 fan base by voting today!
Oh, and you didn't hear this from me!
