$1500 off sticker a good price for 06 Carrera S?
I am finalizing the deal on my wife's Carrera S. The sales guy has promised $1500 off. I'm not too happy with that since I've gotten at least 2-3k off my previous cars. It's not about the amount but the principle of bargaining.
Is $1500 the going market discount now?
Thanks in advance.

A lot depends on your sales area and the current demand. Look for an answer from someone who lives in your same general locations, example would be NorthEast vice MidWest...

Talk to people in the local PCA,--porsche club. If they have ordered cars recently or pickup them up they can clue you in to what you can try to recoop.

I got nearly $4,000 off my 997S -- even if your area has high demand for the car, you should be able to get a similar, if not better, deal if you're willing to look a bit outside your local area.

$2800 under
I was able to get $2800 under msrp. in CA early Nov
06 S well optioned.
It might depend on the amount of options that the car has. Options tend to have more margin that they can play with. This car was on the lot and that might make a difference than ordering.
make sure to talk to woodland hills too.

Beverly Hills is notorious for not discounting much, and Downtown doesn't get enough cars so they may be tough to deal right now. I would check all inventories online and then start calling around - lots of dealers in SoCal. But the market seems to stay pretty strong, so I'd guess $4K would be the max discount you'll find anywhere, if that.

buy out of state get as much as 5k off and have a great drive back , I did this car after car and got the same service at Beverly hills Porsche from Trevor and Eric as the people who bought their cars from them with no discount , no trip and , got to bypass the attitude .
