Default Tracking build

Do you guys get your build status from your dealer, or is there a way to track it online?

No way to track on line. Just call your dealer. Once it's built and ONVESL you can begin to track it better with the help of MJONES who is all knowing. You have a while yet. You are a waiter. Enjoy this time. Do your research and make sure your order is accurate. Once you have the build date and it goes to order you can not change anything. So check out the pics on this site, check the orders and make sure you have what you want. Read as much as you can. That's what I did to pass the time and it helped.

Good luck on your car.

Your sales person right now should be your best friend...

Hey, I'm a waiter too--with simlar concerns as you, minimme. Quick question for you, DJ23--what do you mean by "making sure your order is accurate"? Is there a way to check with the factory to see if the dealer actually ordered the right stuff? And, JFScheck, I wish I felt like my salesperson was my best friend, but I haven't heard squat from him since I ordered six weeks ago. I think he did take my $2500 deposit to Vegas and had a good, time, though. Maybe I'm HIS best friend.

The dealer should provide you with a pro forma read out that clearly states what is within the order.

Vintage, yes double check with your sales rep. There isn't anyway you can check personally with the factory. But if you have a seasoned rep he can make sure the process is proceeding well. I read here on the board where some options where either left out or not included for a new buyer. If I'm not mistaken it was the sport chrono package. The buyer was deciding on taking the new car for a discount of course, or waiting for a new one. I was a little **** with this mind you. But this was my first Porsche and I wanted everything to go well. My rep verified everything for me after my build date, and before it was ONVESL. Of course you never know until you finally see it.

Minimme, nice order. Can't wait to see the pics with the color combo you chose. The only thing I would have added is the Nav system. I love it and it works great. Fun for those long trips when you just want to get away and not get lost. Good luck on the order.
