Get what you want. I once had a white cab with the red leather interior. Never had so many compliments as this car generated. After seeing the pics of the white 997 my mind is made up for my next P car. So easy to keep looking sharp and three or four coats of Zaino and you have a head turner.

Thanks for the feed back but the interior in question is the bi-color, sand and black full leather. What's your opinion on that?

I ordered the bi-color sand and black interior. I like sand interior, but it was just too much of one color. I think adding the black to it helps break up the inteior. No matter what color combination you choose, somebody will have a negative opinion. I think white looks great on a 997.

Hey Lori- I found a link to an old 993 turbo that is white with black/sand. I think it looks great. I have had a white turbo and white c4s cab but all with black interior. Thsi looks nice and refreshing for a change. http://www.rpmsportscars.com/door1.htm

My order is a Paint to Sample and fortunately, a color Porsche has painted in the past. As a result, the color is 'on the books.' The true paint to sample ones take Porsche some time to get right,--they take the full 3-6 months to do it, as the material the color is on makes a big difference. Ask them to send you the paint chip when they finally have matched your 'sample' so that you're getting what you think you are.

You mean they'll actually go out of their way to send you a paint chip just so you can buy off on the color? ... That's pretty awesome of them. But again, it only makes sense for them to do so as a way of CYA.

IMO the white with the two tone sand/black would look a little odd.......I agree with the salesman, would look much better on a black car. How about white/cocoa?.....that is a great combo.....

Thanks for the help Kevin. I think I'll stick with black interior as that pic makes me feel that I may get tired of the combo.

Lori,

I went by today and the white car was not out in the service area. I'll drive by again and see if it's out.

Sorry.

Lori, I am envious that you're getting white. After 2 white 911's, I got the black launch 997S when it was introduced. I love the car but hate the upkeep on the black. I'm going to order an '06 white 997S but I want to see what the Turbo is like first. By the time I get the x51, pccb's, full leather, etc I might be so close to the turbo price...? Even if they are close in cost, I do love the clean lines of the 997S vs the gills and wings of the turbo and I LOVE the sound of the PSE in the S. I tried different exhausts on my turbo and I just prefer the sound of the normally aspirated 911 engine. Good luck.

I have a 06 white/black 997S and it looks great. I have considered white/sand, but I decided to go with white/black because I was afraid the light color desh would have too much reflection onto the windshield. When I ordered my 997S, bi-color wasn't an option. I would have ordered sand/black interior, if the desh is black and the rest is sand.

Wow! I agree - cocoa leather looks incredible with white. One of the best of the unusual color combos I have seen yet. My personal favorite still is the Mexico blue.
