Default What's the normal Oil Temperature range?

I am still breaking in my 2006 997S and it has 1200 miles. On freeway driving it ranges from 200 to 225 degree F. Is that normal? I know 996 usually runs at 180-190 degree F. BTW, after 1200 miles, the oil level went down one bar. I guess that is normal. Right? Thanks in advance.

Perfectly normal. Mine is running a tad over 200. You should expect to burn a quart of oil or so during the break in. When you get to the bottom line add 1/2 quart.

Oil temp is normal!

The 996 temps you are stating sound like coolant

BTW:
The 996 has NO Oil Temp gauge but a Voltmeter

The 997 has a Oil Temp gauge but NO Voltmeter

Anybody know if there is a way to display the charging volts though some display selection of the OBC? I thought I had read somewhere that you can do that. Sure would be nice to know if the charging system is functioning properly.

205 - 215 F @ ambient temperatures between 35 and 90 F, during normal cruise. When pushing it, the temp can drift to 230 F.

Coolant is rock steady at 175 F, during any condition.

My 06 has always ran about 225, sometimes a few degrees warmer. Water temp always 175. Ambient temp 75-80.
