cheap stuff!
The sunvisor on the passenger side just fell off ! Looked like the pastic post just came off from the plastic housing that attached to the windshield frame. I don't know I should be mad or just laugh about this on a $90K car. I know Porsche needs to be driven but I didn't know the damn visor would fall off if I don't use it.

In the early 80s I had a camaro (a blast to drive but built like crap). Getting into my car after work one day I found the inside rear view mirror sitting on the passenger's seat. I was told I could just glue it back to the windshield which I eventually did. But on the way home I had to adjust the passenger's side visor and mirror at an angle that allowed me to see behind.

Soon after I got my last SL a relative was test driving it and when he got out of the car and closed the door a piece of aluminum trim between the door and window popped out.
Pretty embarassing for an 85 K car (at the time).

Years ago I bought a new VW Jetta.
It was the first year they started making them in Mexico.
Man, what an awful car.
Going down the road crap kept falling off inside and out.
Junk!
I traded it in on a new Honda CRX Si and never regretted it.

To stick any part that had fallen off back on a Porsche you can use bubble gum, as suggested earlier. BUT you must use Porsche bubble gum, $100.00 per stick..$200 if previous chewed by a German engineer.

I remember when I picked up my 00 996cab from the dealer. When I shifted into reverse with my brand new tiptronic, the tip/button on the shifter popped right off!
I must had the worse WTF look on my face. The deal must have been really embassassed as he was sitting in the passenger seat. He quickly apologized and picked up the cheap plastic tip cover. He firmly put it back on the shifter, and off we rolled.
Oh wells, that was the old 996. The tiptronic shifter is perfectly fine in my 997! I look out for The House of Flying Sun Visors

The same thing happened to my 2005 997S Coupe after about a month. The dealer ordered a new visor, as the mounting bracket piece was not available individually. In the interim I bought some superglue for plastics and glued the bracket back together. It worked fine. Two screws hold the visor in place. When the new one fame in, the dealer replaced the one I had repaired. All under warranty. In my case the broken bracket appeared to be the result of over tightening the mounting screw.
