Default She's here :)

Hi gang. My C4S Cab finally arrived! Ya!

This car is amazing...an entirely different class than the old 996. I can't wait to take a nice long drive tomorrow to help get past the break in period.

Thanks for making the wait far more enjoyable!

Here are some pics...more to follow if you guys want.

Best,

Oz

Sorry guys...my pics are too large (600 + KBs) and they are not being accepted. Any ideas as to what I can do? I just took the pics with my Olympus.

Load them into photoshop or any cheap imaging software and save them as 640 X 480 jpgs. They are probably in raw format which takes up too much room.

Whoohoo -- congrats! Please keep me informed of your thoughts as mine won't be here until March 06 (argh).

I REALLY want to know about the steering feel and understeer (or lack thereof according to what I've read in Sports Car International 11/05 issue.

Also, I have the dreaded mirror whistle noise. I am going to have to look up the Young Turk fix.

Turkish Eyebrow - here you go:

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/226645-anyone-fix-their-mirror-whistle.html

The key is finding the offending seam in YOUR cab. Follow the recommendation re: having the installer sit in your passenger seat and cover up different seams with his hand. Good luck and let us know.

If you're using Windows, there is no easier and better pic resizing tool than the freebie, Microsoft Paint.

1. Right mouse click the file and select Open with Microsoft Paint.

2. Click on Image and select Stretch/Skew from the menu.

3. In the Stretch box just select the percentage reduction you want. Just make sure Horizontal & Vertical values are the same.

4. If the amount is not right, just Undo (Cntrl Z) and select again.

5. Do a File Save As with a different name to preserve your original file.

No go ahead and resize your pics so they're not as grainy as these. And let us see all of them! ...

Congrats Oz,...but it's not fair! - I just found out my car is still in Germany in the 'exclusive shop' for final touches despite being completed on 10/22
Anyhow, gotta remember that thing about 'making the heart grow fonder' or somethingorother.

What sort of special options did you get that is holding your car up? Did you get some special leather or painted interior pieces or something?

Only thing I can think of that would be the likely culprit is the illuminated door sills. I'll have to ask Alfie.

Damn, after mine being built on the 25 of October she is was shipped out on the 4th of November...

That long of a wait, perhaps for "illuminated door sills"? I would inquire!
