Default The New Club Coupe Is Here At Last!!!

Truck made it to me dealer at 4 pm and I got to see it unloaded.

I posted a bunch of pictures over on Porsche Pete's Boxster board at the link below.

The color is amazing--all the folks who said it's gay blue--nope, I don't think so. It is very metallic and doesn't photograph well. It could be called Diamond Blue.

And a little more info.--it appears the Club Coupe's VIN's will be special. There were two Club Coupes on this delivery--mine, no. 2 and someone else's from El Paso, no. 9. The VIN's end in 45002 and 45009 respectively.

The car will be gassed up and ready to roll tomorrow morning--life is grand

Wow. Congrats, incredible car. Color is awesome, like a
more vivid Polar silver. Adaptives ought to be included N/C!

How did you manage to get #2 of 50? Very cool.
The car looks beautiful; I can't wait to see one in person.
Yes, the PSE is amazing. And those black-faced gauges are very retro 911. I have 'em on my S, too.

Well, I cannot work the clutch pedal for physical reasons; so the Tip was essential and I was very happy it was an available option. On the 996 X51 it wasn't offerred on the tip, which for me was a bummer.

BTW, the Tip with Sports Chrono is excellent--in manual mode on the Tip and sport mode on the PASM, you will hit the rev limiter if you don't upshift. And in the auto mode, the shift maps are much more aggressive. Unlike every other Tip I've had (including the Turbo I had), this one doesn't end up in 5th gear early.

The numbers were assigned first come, first served. I was stunned when I learned my order had been the first one submitted. Truth was, I probably got my order form later than some, and if I was gunning for the first production vehicle (Porsche kept no. 1 of 50 for their museum), I could have faxed my order form two days earlier than I did. I really thought mine would be a middle of the pack number, but I am not complaining. It is just too cool for words

Hi Paul,

I have a quick question...how much time from the build date to receiving your wondrous car? I ha an estimated production date of 10/21. My sales guy is very hard to get a hold of generally not very informative.

Thanks,

Oz

Just heard from the dealer that mine came in last night. I'll be on my way over later this morning to take a look. I don't know what number it is yet, but will let everyone know when I find out. Great pics! Love that color. it looks like it will match my '74 Dino 246GTS.

Beautiful colour! Looks like a Ferrari colour to me. A friend has a 612 that looks so much like this shade. It's called California Azzoro.
