I get a real kick out of hearing about this public road bravado....

Time for you to sign up for another PDE (Masters), do a DE at Sebring, anything off the public roads, where you can make the car wiggle....

You're making my 2-yr plan for a 997 very difficult.

OK, where are we? Oh yeah, I don't have the sport chrono but as far as I can tell PSE resets to normal. I'm not sure about PASM. I always put it back to normal when I return to the hood. I'll have to check.

OK, about public road bravado, I endeavor to never race folks or engage them in any sort of muscle flexing competitions. I also try to limit my outbursts to small sections where I won't kill anybody (else). And as I said, my tires weren't even screeching. Now, Mr. OCB, you be careful out there in the land of freeway shootings!

That said, MJ, you are absolutely correct, I think it is time for PDE number 3. And I do need to get my *** down to Sebring. I'm on the Bell website looking for a helmate as we speak. This baby is capable of more than I can even begin to fathom.

That's what I was waiting to read! I'm sure PDE is terrific, but our local Suncoast PCA has some terrific instructors and Sebring can be an excellent learning track, despite the walls everywhere and close barricades. Still, it's safer than antics on public roads.

Send me a PM and I'll give you recs on specific instructors who I thought have been particularly knowledgable and helpful.

Aerosmith

In the words of Cheryl Crow...."The first cut is the deepest...."

You are killing me with these X51 posts. I had it all figured out until the X51 came into the picture. Now it's back to the drawing board to figure out how to get (and pay) for this option.

Thanks for all of the updates.

Michelins thank goodness. They're all I've ever used on my cars, except in college and graduate school when I used Falkens.

I remember my first SAAB, that I bought used at the age of 18, came shod with Pirellis. Those were the only tires I ever owned that chipped and had chunks come right out just from normal street driving.

Yummy. Got this one right down the street from work. Only problem, is that I have to drive down and back in order to get it in the right direction, and give the car time to work up properly. But damn if it's not a great turn to take at speed.
