Looking for pics of Sand leather and Sycamore
I am currently waiting for my 06 S Cab...Being impatient, I stopped by another dealer wh said he has one coming in with almost my same options...Black / Sand.
Only difference is a Sycamore wood package (about $6,200 worth). I am not sold on it...does anyone have pics of this combo? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Oz

I think you will be happier if you wait for your order. Personally the wood in the Porsche does not appeal to many and to have to pay $6200.00 for it.

Thanks for the input...I was letting my impatient impulse get the best of me! I sold my 2000 996 about a week after I ordered my new one and now I am going through withdraws.
I ordered my Cab in early August...I still do not have a build date. Is this unusual? I have never pre-ordered a car before...my last I just took off the lot.

The only thing i really don't like is wood on the steering wheels. Its glossed over and that makes it slick compared to a leather wheel. I wear thin leather gloves driving anyways, but if you don't, then a wood wheel is not something i would look foward to in a sports car.
EDIT: I will say however, this new wood package Porsche offers...Macassar? Or whatever the real dark one with the offcolor grain lines is, it is STUNNING! First time ive ever REALLY liked a wood trim on the inside. Good job to them!

I have had wood steering wheels in a few C2 corvettes I have owned, usually teak and they were beautiful. If you wear rings, after awhile the rings will put slight "dents" in the wood. Adds a little character. My 911 T also had a wood wheel.

Thanks to all for the candid input. I think I'll just wait for the one I ordered.
