Default Membership Cancelled?

Will my membership here be cancelled if I don't go with the clear side markers? I know it is almost mandatory here, but I am still on the fence about them.

I was on the fence too. And then I went to pick up the car and my dealer had already installed the clear side markers as a surprise. Well, I really like them a lot. The front lights and signals are clear. The rears are clear and red. Amber just seems out of place. And clears are what ROW cars come with. So, in a way, they can be considered stock.

CLEAR:

The following text is listed under Membership renewal using the links above:

Renewal Information

Membership renewal forms are emailed 30 days prior to the renewal month and then a hard copy is mailed during the renewal month, unless you have a two year membership, and unless you fail to purchase and install clear side markers. We will mail out only one notice of renewal. If you moved and your renewal form hasn't caught up with you or you simply lost your renewal notice you can create your own renewal notice that you can submit with your membership payment. (emphasis added).

If I were you, I would get on this right away to avoid forfeiture of your membership status.

Thanks Addict.

I have a 2 year membership does that mean I exempt from the mandatory clear side marker install?

Aerosmith: I can't tell from your photos if the bulbs in your clear side markers are amber or blue xenon. With your spectacular blue color, they should be the blue xenon ones!

LOL, thanks. They're amber bulbs. Legal is good I reckon.

No, you are not exempt! BTW, if your membership gets cancelled, you can't post any questions, you can't offer any advice/opinions, and above all... NO REFUND!

If you don't mind the amber markers, (which some federal legislators and insurance companies decided look great on your car) you might as well go to the kid's bike shop and get some different-colored reflectors, streamers and cool-lookin-stuff and stick it to your car.

OK, I can't take the chance of the loss of membership and the pressure from other members is weighing on me also. I will go with the clears. Are the clears Eric sells at bumber plugs .com the oem Porsche units?

Thanks.

All of them are OEM units, AFAIK. Porsche sends the ones they did not put on your car to the USA!!!

What's funny is they're reasonably priced. Probably the cheapest Porsche part (for what it is: major exterior trim) you're every gonna buy.

I bought at dealer, saved time and shipping.

996toomey: If things haven't changed and your car will still be GT Silver... no way in hell will you get away without replacing amber markers to clears.
