Great color.
I have 3 year-old who likes to ride in the back, but I never new how much. Here are some things she has done (WITHOUT ME EVER TELLING HER).
1. She was talking to her grandfather (my dad) about the car and he called it a Porsch (without the 'e) and she corrected him and said "No Grandpa, it's Porsche-a two syllable word"
2. We picked up my friend from the airport in my wifes SUV and my daughter said "Hi"and the next words out of her mouth were "Do you have a Porsche?". He actually didn't but he had a 1957 356 that he told her about and her response was "well mine is faster".
I don't talk much about my car, but it makes me sound like some kind of pretentious *** with some of the things that she has said. Only 3 and a half years old. I think she likes it more than I do. I hope that she gets a great job when she gets older, because I sure haven't budgeted for a Porsche anytime in her future.

I was driving with my kids in the back of my 996. But now, when I'm with one, I let them ride in a Britax booster in the front. I just make sure that the "passanger air bag disabled" light is on. They love being able to see out of the front window. In a car this small I can't imagine those little back seats are a much safer place to be as long as the airbag is off.

HAHA good to start em' young! I vividly remember the first time I ever saw a Porsche. I was very young and one sunday afternoon my family pulled up behind a 930. I remember as if it were yesterday I said, "mommy, what is WRONG with that car!!! Its SOOOOOO wide!!!! Why is the back like that!!!!!" I totally could not understand why it wasn't a box. We had a volvo and everyone else i knew had a square car. It truly boggled my mind at that age. It was hideous at first...but the seeds were planted! Now I won't drive anything outside the Porsche/Piech family tree!
DMAC, you have the making of an enthusiast on your hands! Guide her well!

Your car is gorgeous - I love Cobalt! Please break that sucker in quick and give us a report on X51 - bet its got a lot more kick than 26hp sounds like.
I love kids, and my own p-car fascination started when I was very young, always hovering over my uncles black 356 coupe. My 3 y/o daughter is my rennlist rumble companion (also see avatar left); 3 rumbles to her credit. On the longest, 5-6 hour morning drive, she never once complained or asked if we were there yet. Below we're at the German Auto Fest. My youngest is in the early stages of training.
