Default PSE disappeared from US configurator!

Does anyone know why the PSE option is now missing from the Porsche US configurator ? It's still showing as an option in Europe. Thanks.

I just check my 2006 Order Guide and PSE is not in there as well. It seems that they do not offer PSE as an option anymore. I order my 997 base in early September and PSE is not one of the option I picked.

I think it is now only available with the X51 engine package...

It sounds like the US customers, yet again, are getting less choice than European customers. No doubt someone in Porsche America thinks they know what is best for their customers. If it's true PSE is not available here without the engine package, then it's a real shame. I am about to order my 997 and really fancy PSE, but will not pay the extra for the x51.

This is interesting. My 997S should arrive at the dealer in about a week. I ordered it in June WITH the PSE. It does not have the X51 package. According to my invoice, PSE is on the car. I'll let you know if, in fact, it really is. It better be!

PSE is one of those cool options that luckly an aftermarket set of pipes can remedy...

That would be a shame because it's worth every penny.

I'm sorry, but I'm pretty certain that PSE is available without the X51. Like a few other items it is missing from the order guide though. Try doing a search here and over on Rennteam to see if you can find the order code.
