Default Updated pics of GT Silver w/Techart

Here are some pictures of my 2006 GT Silver with Techart wheels and Techart lowering springs installed. Bluegrass Porsche of Louisville installed my lowering springs and performed a realignment. The level of service at Bluegrass was fabulous, especially considering I didn't purchase the car form them.

The polished edge really looks great against that car! Nice choice in wheels!

the wheels and the lowering make the car ...... does anyone know the wieght difference between the factory wheels and the techart 20's ..... it looks like a completly different car ! What was the total cost wit everything ? I think the factort areo kit front would look great on this , not the rear but the front .

I am not certain on the weight, but the techarts are cast.

My Champions are 20's and they are forged, yet they are still a tad heavier than the stockers. I can't imagine cast wheels being lighter than the forged wheels...

They look fantastic!! Great choice. My choice was between the Techarts and the Champions, and you can see I went the other way, but that's what makes the world go 'round. Congrats, and they look great.

Thanks for the compliments. I am happy beyond imagination with the Techart wheels and lowering springs. The 20" wheels with Continental tires were $5500. The cost of the Techart lowering springs was around $600. Labor to install the springs was the same, $600 (about 6 labors hours at my dealership). The alignment was $160. The alignment is a must after lowering.

I've thought about adding the Techart side skirts, front lip, and Type I wing - but I'm not quite sure I would like the car anymore than I already do. I may go ahead and add the headlight covers, rear lip spoiler.

The other option I have considered is a black side mirror insert. I think it could possilby work with the black wheels. Does anyone know how the mount to the side mirrors?

Only thing I would consider doing to your car is tinting the windows. Anything else will just detract imho.

What % of tint do you recommend? Any certain brand?

RDKJ, is the ride with the Techart springs noticeably firmer than stock? Also, do the tires rub at all, now that your 997 is lowered?

The difference in the ride came with the installation of the 20" wheels, I installed them first. You can definitely tell there is a weight increase using the Techart 20"s. I would say it is almost equal to driving in sport mode - though not quite as firm, but close. The springs seem to have made little difference in the ride. I have not encountered any rubbing yet.
