Well I have good news for you. Its not a jhymn problem.

Jhymn works perfectly with my iTunes 5.0.1 (actually, the very latest is 5.0.1.4). There is a forum like this one you can search for help (and you dont even have to register to post):

http://www.hymn-project.org/forums/

It must be something else wrong.

Help me again master of HD. What is Jhymn being used for? I would like to try this out on my Cayenne and Boxster while I await the 997S...

Pretty sure it will work on the Cayenne, don't know about the Boxster (2004 as well)...

This is a GREAT THREAD.

I downloaded JHymn and used it with my computer, slam-bang burned a CDR full of MP3s and MP4s from iTMS (I have 832 purchased songs), everything works great with the Pioneer AVIC-D1 in my truck, and I look forward to using it with my forthcoming 997. The interface is a little clunky, but I'm sure that'll be solved with future versions.

Thank you 1080 for an excellent link.

Just to clarify, JHymn currently won't "scrub" songs purchased from ITMS under the latest version of Itunes (5.01). But songs purchased from ITMS while you had earlier versions of Itunes, are no problem. Of course if all your purchases are relatively recent, you're stuck for the moment.

Is there a good CD Ripper to MP3 freeware program out there?
Would appreciate the URL for download if there is.
Thanks.

Thanks very much for this valuable info.

I am one of the waiters and one possibility to overcome the nerve-wracking wait is to prepare and burn a mp3-collection to be used in the long-awaited vehicle.

One follow-up question though: Is the PCM capable of reading playlists and if so, which format would they have to be created in.

TIA

no it cannot read playlists. But, you can order the songs (within a sub-folder) in the manner you wish and it will play in that order.
