Does anyone know when did Porsche start to make the 06 model cars? June? July? Furthermore, is there any difference between a 05 and 06 model?

• Optimized catalytic converter technology
• New oxygen sensors for USA(LEV II)

Electrics
• MP3 player function for PCM 2.1
• Updated software functions and map material for PCM 2.1

Exterior
•Change in color program: Forest Green Metallic replacesDark Teal Metallic
(Dark Teal Metallic becomes a special color)

Interior
• Omission of the map pocket in the backrest (basic and sports seats)
• Omission of socket in passenger footwell
•Color range extension: Two-tone leather interior with 3 color combinations
- Stone Grey / Black
- Sand Beige / Black
- Terracotta / Black
• “S” gear shift **** badge in Aluminum Look finish for 997 basic models
• Advanced Airbag (only available in: USA, Canada, Mexico)

Optional equipment
• Tire Pressure Monitoring I-no. 482(available worldwide)

FWIW, mine is an 06. I think I have all the changes, but I do have a power socket in my passenger footwell. Just FYI.

Isn't the front child seat airbag deactivation now standard with 06?
