I am in for the Drive but will check schedule and wife factor as the week progresses regarding lunch. My friend with a 996 says he's possibly in too. My other car nut friend with an M5 may be in for the drive too. So its me plus maybe one or two others.

Next weekend in doubt too.....
----------
THEN ON THE END OF THE WEEK... WE GET TO DO IT AGAIN WITH ANOTHER
STRONG UPPER LOW DIVING INTO THE OHIO VALLEY. THAT WILL TOUCH OFF
ANOTHER COASTAL LOW THAT IS EXPECTED TO BRING ANOTHER ROUND OF RAIN
FOR FRI NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING.
----------

I am not into the rain or shine thing. I want the pavement dry as we hit the twisties. I know, I know, don't say it. The weather forecast does look better...
00Z GFS
INDICATES RIDGING ALOFT SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...AS SFC HIGH MOVES
SOUTHEAST FROM THE UPPER MIDWEST FOR DRY WEATHER WITH A SLIGHT
MODERATION IN TEMPERATURE BY SUNDAY. PREVIOUS RUNS OF THE GFS SHOWED
THE UPPER LEVEL TROUGH DEEPENING SATURDAY AND COASTAL LOW FORMING
OFF THE MID ATLANTIC. WITH LEVEL OF UNCERTAINTY...LOWERED POPS
SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT TO LOW CHANCE...ALTHOUGH GFS ENSEMBLES
FAVOR THE MOST RECENT OPERATIONAL SOLUTION. SFC HIGH IS PROJECTED TO
MOVE OFF THE COAST MONDAY WITH A RETURN TO NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES

gxlex - Sounds good.
1080 - I'm with you. I have no problem running in the rain, but I don't want people getting hurt or hurting their cars. The roads we'll be on are a mix of fast, curvy, blind corners and hills, decreasing radius turns that are wonderful recipes for the local terra to attempt to redefine your bodywork.

Well, the weather now looks like no rain - I am definitely in for the drive and most likely the lunch - I am trying to get the other 2 friends to commit also. How many are 'official' now on this Board? Anyone on the 993 or 996 Boards coming (or other boards)?

I want to send a huge thanks to all of you who came! Your attendance helped make this drive a success! It is just so cool to see 15 plus Porsches zipping along in your mirror. I also especially appreciate all of you who came out from PA or VA.
The turn out was surprisingly good and, as usual, I had a great time meeting new people and catching up with old, but, as usual, I didn't get a chance to talk with everyone. Our drive was okay; the roads were nice, but we got stuck behind some of the slowest cars on the planet which was rather frustrating in the twisties. Oh, and then there was the corn combine from hell...
Thank you all!!!!! I'm looking forward to the next one.
