Default 997 brake pad change question

I am planning to swap the stock pads in my Carrera for Pagids before I head to Watkins Glen in a couple weeks. Do I need any parts other than the pads? A friend with some Porsche experience mentioned to me I might want to have replacement brake pad shims handy. Is this applicable to the 997? Also, is the factory fill brake fluid up to the task of some track laps? Thanks.

YES!

Even the stock pads are up to the task at hand...At PDE they use the bone stock 997. Barber Motorsports is a track that is big on brake use including alot of trailbraking... and the cars perform flawlessly...time after time.
Lots of blue rotors!
Porsche Brakes are the best
