Finally got my bra

Finally got my bra
Got to give Sam from Premier Mobile two thumbs up for a job well done. The clear bra is barely noticeable. Actually it is hard to tell it’s really there. The film it self is very clear and it is thinner then the factory film (by the rear wheel). I was worry it was going to look like that (factory film is thicker there for the line is very visible also texture on the factory film has lot’s of orange peel, visual lines and clarity is terrible too). Sam and his crew spent so much time to make sure the installation is perfect (5+ hours). The film Sam used (Venture) is the clearest film I have seen (I have seen few 997 with 3M and other cars with clear bra). I’m sure good installation has lot to do with it too.
After 1250 miles, I now can finally take my 997 on the freeway and not be afraid (one day after the installation, I finally got on the freeway). Before the clear bra, I’ve been driving on the local road only, man it’s tough to rack up mileage this way! ).

Nice ..... Looks like they did the whole hood and fenders.
I was like you, I didn't dare get on the freeways until I had the clear bra on. I had it done three days after I took delivery, and took the long way to my installer, nothing but surface streets from Orange County to Torrance to prevent the slightest little stone chip.
Way to go! Enjoy!

That's not a bra...it's a giant plastic coating. At least there are no lines. I will be interested in hearing how this holds up over time. Hope it works OK. Just remember it's not full-proof, so if the rock is big enough or hits with enough force the plastic can't absorb it all. Good luck.

Thanks alin330 for posting your experience. This install like several others we did on this tour were custom installed for the purpose of minimizing seams, which makes it much easier to clean especially when waxing. It is true that the film will not prevent ALL impacts..........if fast enough and the object is lg enough, it can penetrate. However, from our experience over the years, only a few of our customers in any given year would tell us debris damaged the film and maybe one or two would have a full penetration through the film and onto the paint.
Thanks again for those who participated in our Tour!

Yes, It’s not full proof, but other than not driving the car at all nothing is full proof! Hell one can get hit by another car. It’s kind of like a condom, yes condom is not 100% full proof but one should use it if one wants to be safe.
