Don't get me wrong, the 993 is a very special breed of Porsche, but having had both.... no way would I ever want to go back!!

Keep the 993 and then trade for a 997 a few years later when they can be had for the same price as your 993 (if you still prefer the 997).

Keep the 993 as it is, the 997 maybe faster and better on the track but it really doesn't even compare to the looks of the 993. The 997 is the ugliest Porsche's in the line up. That round bulbish basketball *** is ugly. I have a 996 and when going on drives with an older 993. The 993 gets the looks, but the teen-aged kids seem to like the looks of the newer model. Not to mention at a green light take off the 997 is straight out beaten by just about every thing out there.

Sure fooled me! Not many cars I know that can do 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds.

Get off the drugs!
My 06' 997S is anything but "ugly" both on the inside and out, and it'll smoke most other cars coming off the line. The guys in this forum can attest to that.
You are certifiably insane.

I must beg to differ with you sir. IMHO the 997 hourglass has it all over the 996 and is the 993's equal.

With respect to glaffy’s original dilemma, I think the appropriate course of action is to indulge and have both, of course.
