It depends... the Contis should last longer, but the Michelins stick a bit better. The factory used both as oe, just luck which you get.

Michelins. Nothing handles better in the rain.

For what it's worth, you can go over to TireRack to comapre the two.

I have heard of some balance issues on the P Zeroes, I think how long they last is all relative to your shoe size especially the right foot.

My contis only lasted about 10000. I would have thought they would have lasted a bit longer then that. The were a pretty good tire though. Not real noisy on the road and seemed to stick to the ground pretty welll. Actually my fronts look pretty good still but the rears are all the way down to the wear indicators. So I'm in the same boat wondering what tires to put on next. In my case I think I'm gonna stick with the conti's because the fronts are still fine. However I also need to get some winter/snow tires for this winter so I'm trying to research those as well. Tire Rack keeps coming up with the Dunlops for winter tires. Not sure how good they are.

PS2's have a lot more grip than the conti's. but as states, the contis will last longer.

FWIW, I have the PS2's on my 19" Classics and the Conti's on the Champion wheels. The conti's, while still new, clearly do not have the sticking power the ps2's do. They get greasy when you approach their limit. They don't talk as much as they did on my last Audi either...which is scary, but you can feel the grease in the turn. The ps2's were like glue.

P Zero's here also. Dealer did a free rebalance at 800 miles because to me they seemed a little lumpy at freeway speeds, although the tremors were mild. Now they are smooth as silk. The grip feels as good as Mich PS2 on other 997's I've driven. One thing I noticed-- I'm not sure why the Pirelli P Zeros have such a deep tread cut compared to the PS2.

Had Conti SportContact2 on former M3, I recall they were noisy but they had tremendous grip in the rain.

Agreed on the CS2's. They are noisy as hell, especially when your pushing them around, but they have amazing grip in the rain.

I am going with the Michelins. It's too bad that they're more expensive than the Contis, but the reviews seemed great. baby's gonna get new shoes!

I have 18's. Thanks for the offer on the contis, but I get the ps2's today. Overnight from tire rack $1150. glad to see that you switched to them when you bought the car....wonder why you didn't have the dealer swap them? In any case, I appreciate the input. thx
