Question Weight of Oil to use

Based on another thread dealing with oil changes, I went to WalMart to get some Mobil 1. Based on my owners manual it said to use 5W40 or 5W50 or 0W40. All I could find was 5W40. The container read, "for use in gasoline & desiel SUV's and trucks."

I didn't buy it due to the label. Has anyone else seen this?

I found it locally in the Chicago area at the Lee auto parts store.

I posted recently that I got it at WallyMart for $4.92 a quart. Someone else said $27 or so for a case.

Pep Boys and Auto Zone has the 0W-40. But sometimes they are out of stock and no wonder, you need 10 quarts just for Porsche oil changes. My E55 took 8!

WalMart in my area only had 5W40W and did not feel comfortable to purchase. The manager @ WalMart said 0-40W was backordered. Went to local auto store that had 0-40 @ 5.25 a qt.

I just bought it at Wal Mart by the case. It was $27ish for a case. I also saw it at Advanced discount autoparts for a similar price. If your wal Mart doesn't have it maybe they can order it for you or get it from another store.
