Default Where should I stick my Rennlist sticker?

I got the small widow sticker with my Rennlist membership and membership card. Aside from the usual places I surmise you will tell me to stick it, has anyone else affixed this sticker to their ride?

Man, what a rip! I've been a member for 6 months now and I have never received a stinkin' Rennlist sticker!! Man, they ought to refind me 12¢ for not sending me a stinkin' sticker! Just kidding about the refund part!

Reminds me of:

Where to stick RL sticker? tough to mess with the symmetry of the car, maybe get two .
It is cool that the Porsche script in the rear windshield reads correctly both from outside car & in rear-view mirror.

HA! There's a T-Shirt!! That's funny. I actually saw it on a completely unrelated Board as someone's sig and I 'got it' and liked it, so I figured I would try it here.

Since this thread is a waste of bandwidth anyway, let me ask a question.

When you spend untold hours detailing your ride, and you open the trunk for whatever reason, how do you close your trunk? Do you lower it carefully and press down on the crest for the final click to avoid fingerprints, or do you lower it half way by pulling on the hook latch attached to the top lid and then let gravity do the rest by letting it lightly but forcefully shut? Or is there some other way?

I think I read on the Pelican forums that pressing on the crest is a no-no. Apparently, pressing on the crest causes it to flex and, over time, will cause the metal pins underneath to break off. They report the recommended method is to press on the hood directly in front of the crest.

Has anyone experienced this?

That is true, I noticed about two weeks ago that the crest on my 997 is loose. I can wiggle it from side to side, not enough to see it travel but you can feel and hear it move. Pushing down on the crest to close the trunk is the only time I ever touched the crest. I can't imagine what else could have caused it to be loose.

Do not push on the crest! Put your hands equally spaced between crest and the sides and push down. I know you might get some finger prints on it (I always use a cotton cloth), but it is the proper way.

ps. I also did not get a sticker...my suggestion for where to put it should not be printed...but I would not put any stickers on the car.

That's right. Not on the crest on the aluminum hood lid, but right over the latch bracket. Open the hood lid and sight where the latch bracket is relative to the front edge of the hood. You'll want to be applying the pressure right over this area, preferably with your palm and preferably with a MF Towel under your palm, which you should keep somewhere inside the car with easy access. I keep mine (actually two) under the driver's door armrest compartment. I also this towel for closing the gas fill lid. I don't want fingerprints on that either.

Hey wross996tt! ... Go Trojans! is what you should be saying in your sig there!

Speaking of stickers, I just received mine in the mail today. I joined as a direct result of not wanting OCBen calling me a freeloader. Do I have to take some action to have member by my name or will it just happen? I joined about 3-4 weeks ago.

TIA
