Leasing 2006 997 (non-S)
Hi all,
When I tried to get a lease quote via Leasecompare, they do not have the 2006 residuals yet. The person I spoke to said they need a window sticker from any 997 (non-S) to send to their lenders and the insurance companies. Apparently no other 2006 997 has ever been leased through one of their lenders yet. (!?!) Unfortunately, I won't have that until the car comes, and so there may be a delay to get my baby!
Anyone else have similar problems or go through a Leasecompare lender to get a '06? Anyone want to fax a copy of their window sticker through!?

Have you considered "pre-owned" Several low mileage nicely option 997's have sold in the low and mid 60's. Bought one myself. Should have bought two. Probably close to a lease payment.

I've been looking around at some 997's. Where were you finding these cars in the low - mid 60's?
Thanks,
Todd

Todd: Check out my Jan 25, 2005 thread "997 arrival" for details and link to pics. I bought my car via an ebay auction. Found the auction with 3 or 4 minutes left, "reserve price not met" Made a bid that I considered very low and unlikely to met the reserve price. Didn't investigate car or owner. Amazed that my bid "met" the reserve price. Then watched the last few minutes of auction, in shock and awe, on three computers with my two sons (wife OOT and oblivious : ) ), refreshing the screens every few seconds. It was an exciting 2 or 3 minutes that seemed to last forever. Still surprised that I won the auction. Car has been wonderful for the first six months, simply no problems. Seller was GREAT and helped with the shipping from Jersey to Tampa.

ps: Slightly OT, the OEM short shifter arrived from Brandywine Porsche yesterday and I'm looking forward to its installation.
