Anyone know if this works on a 997 for the PSE cut-off?

The 997 PSE uses NOT the speedometer signal input, but an input from the engine DME. I am not sure if this relay is even present in a 997/997S.

Actually, There is an even easier way. Simply disconnect the electrical connection as shown below and you will have the desired effect. It took me more time to open and close the hatch than to complete the "modification".
PM me if you need more help.

Thanks MJones. I read that entire thread before. I dont want loud all the time, but instead wish to mute same through the Sport button in the same way it operates now (albiet without the automatic cutoff). That is why the relay mod I posted is so cool - it simply eliminates the cutoff while all other operations remain the same.

Apparently, however, that mod is not available for the 997.

NO CEL's or indicators inside the car? Looks like a switch, and I would think that the ecm would know about it??

Regardless, good find!

Ok, will this mod ONLY remove the cut-off but you are still able to control ON/OFF with the Sport button?

I'm sure that mod means PSE on all the time, no ability to control it from the Sport button.

Although I would have liked to install the controls, I didn't, because I could not find any way to disable only the cutout between 30-50mph (or something like that). So I'm on all the time, just like you would be with the easy mod above.

I have already done the even easier mod by removing the vacum hose from the controller, which leaves PSE on all the time. Awesome, but I still like to control ON/OFF. Period.

Guess I just have to try

Jim, do you still have your stock mufflers? Am curious if they look like they can be modified like the ones in the "No more PSE?" thread.

And of course PSE is on all the time... same effect as removing the vacum hose. Guess hacking the DME is only alternative.
