Default Mat colours

Apologies for the spelling of the word colour - it's correct in this part of the world!

Can anybody tell me if the colour of the floor mats are the same as the interior colour? I am waiting on my C2, spec'd in Seal Grey and Sea Blue. I've ordered dealer fit mats to go with it but can get my hands on some black mats for a fraction of the cost that the OPC wants. If the dealer mats are black as well I might as well go with the cheaper option and pocket the difference or put it towards some coloured wheel centres.

Seems a small sum compared to the overall cost but I've already spent more than I want too... sound familiar anyone?

Nick

PS: Feels good to be an offical waiter after ordering in November 04 and holding back on a build date while I sorted out house moves, new baby, etc. Car being built October, due same month or early November.

Regular mats for a C2 are 115 US,
Perhaps your OPC might toss in mats or wheel centers, they do that here in the USA

The OPC's in UK won't throw anything in for free - there's a limited number of dealers here so little competition and a general distrust from buyers when reselling if you have a non-UK supplied car. Basically we have to pay the list price and wait a fair time for the cars to come through too - early orders on C2S were 12 months...

Mats are a approx US $300 option here, wheel centres approx $180. Basic cost of a C2 is GB £ 59000 before options, from other posts I think you don't pay much more than the equivalent figure in US $. It all adds up, hence the original question.

Have you ordered a cabriolet with the Bose Premium Sound option? If so, the OEM mats a lot more expensive, apparently because of the location of the sub-woofer in the cabs vs. the coupes. Contact FVD, a Rennlist sponsor, they have after-market mats for a lot less.

Hi Nickbourne
I use JCT 600 Porsche in Leeds as do some friends. They don't charge us for mats. Push your dealer to throw um in.

I got free Porsche mats (!!!!) from Dick Lovett Swindon with my C2S.

You won't get any £ off list, anywhere in UK, but most (from my experience) will give you something.

Which dealership are you using?

Thanks for the info, sounds like it should be possible to push them for the mats - I use Cambridge OPC.

Out of interest, can anybody answer the original question - with a sea blue interior what colour are the floor mats?

Thanks

Nick

You can choose whatever color you want, including Sea Blue, which I have on my 997S which is Arctic Silver with Sea Blue interior.
