After two months of waiting my Cab came in on Wednesday (I was surprised but very happy as I didn't expect the car to arrive so soon) and I was ready to pick it up on Friday. Got to the dealer, then the impossible happened... "well here is your brand new Cab, however, the factory somehow forgot to install the Sport Chrone option that you ordered, do you still want it?" The strangest thing is the Sport Chrone option actually listed on the sticker that came with the car. The QC department in the factory really screwed up big time and I am the one who is suffering.

Can't they do a retrofit? if they can... let the Chrono Clock slide ....

I disagree. Tell them to build you a new one and get what you want - to spec - when you are paying $95,000+ and waiting months for a custom ordered car. I waited 4 months. It sucks, but you will still get that new car feeling - just 2 months later. Then get them to knock off $1,000.

Yeah it sucks that they didn't build the car the way you ordered it. Seems like quality control is slipping some at the plant. But, hey, consider it a blessing in disguise that you don't get that ugly, useless wart sitting atop your dash. That's just my opinion of course. And maybe the assembler responsible shares the same opinion, and any 997 he can save from being scarred for life with that wart is a rescued-from-the-dark side 911.

Do NOT take the car ! Wait until you get what you want, Perhaps they can expedited a car for you.

I like my wart! I'll never use it of course, but its cool that at night it sits up there stealthy and lights up and starts ticking when you hit start from the steering wheel. Passengers think its neat. You can also use it to bet your wife that she really won't be back in 5 minutes as you sit in front of the mall and wait.

Maybe you have sport chrono with "delete wart", but all the goodies besides the wart.

Have them compensate you for your time. But have the sport package. You'll love. Have them rebuild a new car for you, but you should be compensated in some fashion.

I didn't take the car because I am afraid something else is missing (a missing bolt somewhere maybe). I will talk to the dealer again tomorrow. They did promise to move my order up once the factory reopen.
