I have got to say that this is my biggest nightmare. I order a car, wait three months and it arrives not to my spec. What a killer.

Is it a button or something besides the clock flipping over to let you know that the Chrono is active?

Maybe they just installed the wrong dash but everything else is there, ie; suspension and such.

I had a similar story with my first BMW 328i. My beautiful BMW came with an option I didn't order. Dealer said he would of course give me the car without charging me for it. That's great, except the option was an automatic transmission. I passed and had them reorder a new car for me.

Definitely wait and get the car you want. That's a big option not to have.

I agreed to take the car last week after the dealer agreed to put in the Navigation for free. I took the car home yesterday and I am happy that I don’t have to wait another two months for the car... By the way, the factory really did forget to install the Sport Chrono Package as the Stop Watch and other buttons were missing.

Congratulations!

Looks sharp. I'm sure you'll be happy with it, especially after he threw in the nav for you. The beauty of a smooth-skinned, blemish free dash will grow on you!

Wow, that's a stunning one. All the best man. I have your clear sidemarkers and/or silver hood crest when you are ready.

Sounds like it turned out OK afterall. I would much rather have a $2000 navigation system which would get used all the time, than a $900 Sport Chrono that will only get used once in a while. I think you will come out better at resale time, too.

Congratulations!

Michael
