It's the sale section of PCA, you do have to be a member to access it. Let's just say it sold for $3K less than I paid for her on 12/04.... 8-)

Wow that was fast. But then again, my salesman said that they are so backed up in 997 sales that they wouldn't have any in stock even to show!

Wow, that's encouraging. Not too many cars will take that little of a hit.

That's odd...I just came from Henessy Porsche here in Atlanta to buy some parts and they had over 30 997's on the lot. Countless 996's, and Boxsters and Cayennes gallore! It looked like a Honda dealership!

Most 996's and 986's had some sort of discount or sale special on the window sticker. Talk about over supply!

Hey Cab 993, I just got off Henessy's web page where they list 4 new 911s for salel: 2 TTs, one 997, and one 997S. It's all those "other P-cars" taking up the parking lot space.

Hennessy is also my dealer where my car is on order. No way are there 30 997's. They have plenty of 996's but last week I was in and they had exactly one car, a preowned 997 cab and they were asking so much for it noone wanted it, they were willing to wait for a new one according to my contact.

NO ONE has 30 new (or used) 997 cars sitting anywhere. What was that all about?

Ooops...sorry guys. I just read my post. I meant the had over 30 Porsches in the lot. Not sure how many 997's. But I do recall seeing more than 3 for sure. They had few parked outside. I even sat on a white Cab that was inside the showroom to see what 10 years does to a car. The salesperson offer a test drive but I had to go. Interior seemed way better than the 996. It felt however like I was in a big heavy car. I am sure the extra ponnies will make that feeling dissapear. I wonder if it is as "tossable" as the 993 though.

And yes...987 Boxsters and 997's still look very similar from the front, regardless of what they did to the headlights.

Did you know that the 993 and 997 are very close in weight?

993=1370kg
997=1395kg

It just feel bigger.
