Default Question Regarding Sport Chrono

I have a couple of questions regarding Sport Chrono:

1) If you have the Sport Chrono on the base 997, does it change any car parameters when activated, since there is no PASM?

2) If you don't have Sport Chrono on the 997S, can't you make the same PASM setting changes with a switch on the console?

Thank you for clearing this up.

Sport Chrono on 997 will change the limits of PSM, the throttle sensitivity, and the rev limiter.

On a 997S with PASM and no sport Chrono you can change the suspension stiffness with a switch on the center console, but that's it.

What RPM does the rev limiter kick in (997 and 997S), and how much does Sport Chrono raise it (997 and 997S)?

Thanks.

Sport Chrono doesn't change the rev limit, just what happens when you get there. In normal mode it's a soft limiter, in sport the limiter it's a hard limiter.

Why would you want a hard limiter over a soft limiter?

For the track. With a hard limiter you can hold the revs closer to the red line without the car losing power.
