Is it true that the full leather option only really makes a difference if you have a light interior? Can one tell the difference between the full leather option and the standard interior if the interior is black?

I use the Sport Chrono every day on my commute with sport mode suspension. I can't imagine a 997 S without it on the highway.

For daily driving, isn't it too stiff in constant sports mode with the 19" wheels?
I'll probably get the chrono as I do think that resale may be an issue without it ..

I thought that it would be but no it isn't. Without it the car won't feel stiff enough to corner on the highway.

I have the full black leather and you can tell what's leather and what isn't. Plus you get the cool stitching on the dash.

Sportscarfanatic -- good to know. thanks.

Texas911 -- Full leather is pricey but may be worth it from what I'm reading here. Seems like everyone who has it loves it, and some even consider it a "must have". I live in AZ where it's hot, and am leaning towards your color combo. Any regrets? And did you buy your 997 at Momentum?

Momementum, yes. Regrets? Sometimes I wish I got the Stone instead of Charcoal. Also I wish I got the thicker steering wheel and leather rear console or painted. Other than that, only wish I could have gotten it sooner!

BTW, my 993 has the light grey interior and it feels cooler when driving around in the summer heat. But does show scuffs and such easier than the charcoal.
