Default Which new tires to get???????/

It's time for some new shoes....My PS2's have held up well after 4k miles and a few autocrosses....

fronts are worse than the rears...

Should I get PS2's or P Zeros? 19's.........

Any advice or experience would be appreciated.

only 4k miles! are they past the wear bars?

i'd stay clear of p-zeros...the 18s were marginal as a performance tire, doubt the 19s are better.

I used to thnk so too, but not anymore. It depends on the application as to which performs best.

Street- either one
Autocross-Pirelli
Track- PS2
Wet-Pirelli

You won't go wrong with either, ( and to think I wanted the dealer switch them on my car before I took delivery)

Check out Tire Rack for pricing and availability. You'll just need to have someone mount and balance them for you. For my Nissan I took them to Wal-Mart and they did a good job mounting and balancing at a cut rate price.

Just got back from Watkins Glen and the PS2's performed flawlessly. Other than full race rubber I can't imagine anything better. It's those parking lots that are destroying your tires, I have 7500 on mine with about 7 hours of track time and they still have a lot to go! Maybe look for a harder compound for autocross(?), but as I don't/won't ever run AC i'm really no expert on what to use...

On another note - did you lower your car 930man? Did it make a noticable difference? I didn't get any body roll (noticeable anyway) even in the reverse downhills or the S transitions with stock suspension in Sport mode.

yeah i lowered the car it did make a noticeable difference on the track. i dont autocross i only run
track events, the spring are nice and doesnt really affect the ride comfort. I am thinking of taking them off changing for some shocks. trying to decide between cross and bilstien.

Are you saying you are switching back to stock height?

absolutely not..... Bilstein and cross are fully adjustable drop the car as much or more than just springs.
plus you get control over dampening rate

PS2's!! Hands down the all around best performer both wet and dry! It took about 1000 miles to break them in fully as I am not a real hard driver most of the time. With 7000 miles on my car now my PS2's can easily go another 4K - 6K miles before replacement, unless I take it to the track for some fun.
