I"M DONE........
2006 pricing is out so I went to my dealed to firm up my order with real pricing and the Lapis Turbo was still on the showroom and I looked again. My salesman walked up and said that is what you really want. I asked how long the car has been here and he said 8 weeks. YAda yada yada I made an offer and they said yes.

A couple guys have said that when they get wet they lose braking power until they dry out, but have never heard anything else. My guess is to "dry them out" requires about 3 seconds of moderate pedal...

If this is a turbo S, then it uses the PCCB gen 2. I've had mine since Feb. and tracked it twice. Both times I was impressed by the brakes and after a dealer check, they're still looking good.
On the street they are quiet with no noise and my experience with them so far has been excellent. You won't encounter brake dust while on the street but on the track, the wheels do get coated with it. Congratulations on a beautiful looking car.

Congrats on the new car. You mentioned 2006 pricing is out, I haven't seen it yet, can you tell me the base price for an 06 997S coupe? Have you seen the 06 order guide as well?

I've heard that the second gen PCCBs are head and shoulders over the gen 1s in longevity. The gen 1s suffered from road use, presumably because of the frequent heat up/ heat down cycles as opposed to track use where they would get warm and stay warm. The rotors would develop cracks and need to be replaced. When I said, "Take care of those PCCBs." I was referring more to the price tag for replacements. 
I would want to take care of anything that expensive.

Only driven 80 miles but the breakes are quiet. The pics are bad but didn't want to post with out pics. I will post some better pics when I stay out of it long enought to do so.
