I am using the EVO air box and GIAC chip. So far, so good. Not loud in a bad way. Heading in for headers and full exhaust later this month.

Can't find your other thread, so here are a few photos of Seal Grey and Sand Beige. Not my car, but one that prompted me to get this combination.

I run the EVO box on my 996. Best fitment, HP, and TQ. I love the sound that is created. Small plug...I have a couple instock for 997 at a special price.

The fabspeed is way cheaper and the same end result. One of the guys here actually lost power with the evo (karlooz). If it was that easy, don't you think porsche would just slap on a rubber hose instead of a 8k engine upgrade?
Don't be fooled into thinking you can outsmart the porsche engineers, for the money, the fabspeed is the way to go. At least if it doesn't work, you'll only dump 200 instead of 600$. I have the fabspeed, sounds good, slight power gain, if any.

I have the Fabspeed; sounds good, who knows if there is any extra HP. Probably not worth the extra $$ for Evo although the Evo looks like a nice setup.

I have Fabspeed mufflers waiting to be installed when I get back from this dumb business trip (would rather be home installing them now!!).

I have the fabspeed as well and happy with the results. The sound is nominally louder when used as stand alone and no other mods.
