Lowering a car with PASM may be problematic due to the computer interface of the suspension system to the brains in the car. Could result in various error messages, misalignment, problems with PSM and who knows for sure what else. I have seen at least one vendor (I can't recall who) who claims to have a suspension system replacement for 997s with or without PASM. How they deal with the computer interface, I don't know.

I'm sure the S can't be ordered without it

If the goal is simply to lower the ride height you will just need to change the springs. The two most popular are Techart and H&R. You can get the Techart springs from Jason at CEC in CA or the H&R’s from Rhonda or Evan at FVD in Florida. If you are ok with a set that has been used for a few months I’ll sell you mine for $300.00 as I am changing over to more of a track setup and will not need mine.

Can the RoW -20 sport suspension be purchased for non PASM 997 in the US? I did not get the S because you have to get PASM. I have a base 997 with 19" wheels. I would like to go with a porsche sport suspension instead of lowering springs or coilovers with too many adjustments that I don't need for street use.

Hi guys,
As John said (Thanks for the kind words BTW) you can lower a PASM car with just springs if your goal is to just lower the car. The ride will not change much, a bit stiffer (more so in sport mode). You will have no problems with PASM whatsoever, no lights or complications. You will need to realign the car, but that is normal for any car when changing suspension.
Take a look at this thread for photos and customer feedback (Flyinglow):

Evan

I like less gap between the fender and the tire. If I buy the car I ordered, Dec/Jan delivery, I will pm you then if you still have them, thanks.
