Default 997S with H&R springs & Rinspeed kit w/pics

I have been lurking here for quite a while so here is my first post. My car is a launch S with H&R lowering springs, Techart headlamp rings, and the complete Rinspeed body kit. I got the Rinspeed kit directly from Rinspeed in Switzerland and the springs from Vivid Racing. I will post more pics tomorrow with my new Champion wheels.

Looks nice - my car's twin but with an aerokit and lowered. Would love to see a rear shot to see the wing from behind, but looks good from what I can see. Which Champion wheels did you get? I just replaced my Carrera S wheels with Champion RG5 monolites last week. Any problems with the new ride height?

I know I love your wheels. I was the one who said you might consider lowering it. My springs are just barely stiffer and I have had no problems with the ride height. Granted you do need to definately pay attention to driveways, etc. As far as my wheels I picked up a set from Brandywine Porsche. They are Champions new wheels. They look almost identical to the Kinesis F110, accept for the area around the lugs isn't as flat. The wheels only weigh 15.5 front and 18 rear, seems almost too light to me, but I will weigh them prior to install. Oh and they are 19x8.5 and 19x11.5, so I am using a 305/30/19 rear tire. I will post a rear pic up tomorrow.

Those must be the Champion RS98's - I seriously considered them - very nice, clean looking wheel - but opted for the RG5's. The RG5's (19") are supposedly right about 20 lbs each (a hair under and a hair over), which doesn't completely make sense now that I think about it. Let us know how yours weigh in.

I was just looking at Rinspeed's website and see they have a suspension kit for the 997S with PASM - did you consider or look into that?

No I really didn't look into Rinspeeds suspension setup. I didn't want to spend a ton of money to lower my car. The H&R's were only $340 plus shipping and they were in stock. If anyone else is thinking of lowering their car, it is a must to re-align the car after.

How have the springs affected your handling?

The car looks great.

I think that's the best rear spolier out for the 997...period. Awesome!

The best way to communicate with Rinspeed is to e-mail them. I was working with Jens Hawner, their web site is Rinspeed.com. I don't think there are any US distributors. New wheel pics soon.

Nice! I love the spoiler! Can you post a pic of the rear of the car?
