Default AWE Tuning 997 Carrera S exhaust system finished!

AWE Tuning is proud to introduce the Porsche 997 Carrera S header and muffler system. This project has been 2 months in the making. We are extremely pleased with the results.

+39 crank horsepower and +31 crank torque

AWE Tuning manufacturers all exhaust systems in house. If you are local to our Willow Grove, Pa facility please stop on by to see the production process. All AWE Tuning exhausts systems are made from stainless steel, TIG welded and internally hand finished.

Please right click/save our demo video. This is what +39 crank horsepower and +31 crank lb/ft of torque sound like!

Please visit our 997 specific web page for additional details and pricing.

This system sounds fantastic at idle and WOT. There is ABSOLUTELY no drone during highway cruising.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. mike@awe-tuning.com or 888-565-2257

Thanks for reading and have a great day

Thanks.

Check out this video. This is the demo for the 996TT system. Same road, but I managed to get some air under the car.

Currently looking for a test car. We need someone to loan us their vehicle for 30 days. It will be kept indoors and covered.

We are located in Willow Grove, Pa appx. 30 minutes northwest of Philadelphia.

Thanks!

Hey Mike, nice work. I'm drooling.

Some questions though, 1) How thick are the flanges and can we reuse the stock fasteners?, 2) Can we reuse the stock O2 sensors if they've been heated several thousand miles?, 3) Any Engine Control Module reprogramming at all?, 4) Could an good "shadetree" mechanic with the proper tools make the installation flat on his back with stands and a creeper or is a lift required?, 4) What's the turn time from order date?

Thanks in advance.

1. There are no additional fasteners you need to buy. The kit comes complete.
2. Absolutely.
3. Not at all. However we did do testing of our full exhaust with the addition of the chip. Here is the dyno graph from that.

4. Absolutely
5. Our fab shop is already gearing up to do the first production. Flanges and tubing have all been ordered. We are taking preorders now and will be able to ship in 4-6 weeks. Obviously no credit card would be charged until we confirm and ship. Thanks!

Mike - Is the 9.4lb weight savings for the total replacement (Headers/Cats/Mufflers) or just for the muffler replacement? If so, what is the total replacement difference?

Apology in advance if its listed somewhere and I missed it..

Is the 39+ gain in HP just with the exhaust system or along with the chip? If it is with the chip, what is the power gain with just the exhaust?

The +39 was all from the exhaust. Here is the dyno plot of what the chip added on top of it.

From the graph, it seems that the chip does not make much of a difference except raising the maximum RPM. Am I interpreting this correctly?
