Got a call this evening from my dealer to tell me that my car (997S) has been built. Delivery is 4-5 weeks away.

THE WAIT IS DRIVING ME NUTS!

Well worth the wait! You'll have the car for the great driving weather.

Mine has been spending a lot of time in the garage waiting for the winter road sand to be cleared away.

Go look at other cars, Nissan, Mazda, Chevy, audi, etc. Tell the sales guy you are about to get the Porsche. Give them a chance to try to talk you out of it (yeah, right) with test drives. Just a way to kill time waiting. Gonna be a great summer for you! Congratulations.
