Default Road Trip pt 6- update

Been without a reliable internet connection until today, so here is a bit of an update.
Friday I left Birmingham on a short stint of 366 mi driving up to IL for a couple of days in farm country,,, Great long smooth roads with little to no traffic..yes I was doing 120 at times in a 55 on a two lane road.
Today I left IL. making ny way to Wichita, KS, a stint of 619mi which brings my total mileage so far to 3280 mi, at a 67mph average and 24mpg. It's so hard to keep the av speed up since it is calculated from the moment the car is started, sit at a stoplight or drive thru a a small town where the speed limit is 20 it is really noticeable.
The 997 is a dream to drive on a road trip, the miles melt like butter.
Nav is great tho you must fool it at times to get the route that you want, going to Birmingham it wanted to drop me South from I-40 to Dallas..not the worst but a direction I did not wish to travel.
Oil level still registers FULL, to this point... perhaps long run break in is a good thing.
Should reach LA in two or so days
