My 996 Cab top goes up or down by turning key in door. Nice feature.
Tried on a 997S Cab, and it did not work. Any new Cab owner's have any
experience? Dealer did not know why it would not work.

I'm also waiting for my 997 S cab and for what it's worth, I noticed in reading the 997 manual that's posted on the Renntech site, no mention is made of being able to operate the top with the key in the door as on the 996. Maybe it's been disabled on the US cars for liability reasons just like with the 996, on the Euopean models you could open the top remotely with the key but that feature was not on the US models.

in europe, cabs have an additional button on the key that allows the top to be remotely operated.
but alas, not in the USA. porsche doesnt want to get sued because some idiot gets his head stuck in the top.
