Good topic:
1. Oil measurement: I do and don't like the electronic version. I have the same experience as somebody else mentioned: it looks as if it is not consistent and the steps are wide, it almost like not enough, OK too much.
2. I see that some people say that they like to have the radio off, but the screen on. I have that often, just turn the volume to zero. You can also turn the radio on and the screen off. Too many buttons: maybe so, but less than my previous car.
3. Break pads: indeed maybe too soft material. I know, the breaking is great due to that, but the rims are getting black and dusty fast. At the end of the day I'm OK with it as safety is number one and so breaking is important.
4. Mats: did anyone try to clean those yet? You have to be careful how you take them out. You can easily pull the total anti-slip system with it. Secondly, a little more quality and a logo would be great. No, not for aftermarket, just standard. I would appreciate it if they send me the upgraded version as a sort of service from the house :-))

I can tell a lot about what's going on inside by seeing how the oil looks on a dipstick. Is there any other way of "sampling" the oil short of draining?

No one so far has mentioned a spare tire or the stainless steel exhaust pipes that look ugly most of the time. The lack of the spare is ok with me but at first everyone was talking about it.

The engine's in the trunk? And I thought the empty space under the front hood was because this was some sort of no pollution, high gas mileage, eco friendly car. I was wondering why I still needed to put gas in it.
My only complaint is the size of the visors. The problem is compounded when you're 5'4 (me) and gets worse when you're 5'1 (wife). I guess an unabridged dictionary on the seat would solve that problem.
