Angry They broke my wiper tonight!!!

Some idiot broke my windshield wiper tonight at the office parking lot. It's underground, it's a reserved spot, it's very close to the parking attendant and there are cameras. It's beyond belief, I can't understand how these a**h*l*s can do this!!! And it's my new 997 Cab S, idiots!!!

You got off lucky. They could have keyed it. One of my friends just bought a 997 and it was keyed on the door and rear panel. That whole side will have to be repainted.

Car vandallism has been going on from at least the 50s. I had an uncle whose radio antenna would be broken off monthly way back in the late '50s. It seems that some people get pleasure in causing pain to others.

Are you able to check with security to see the parking lot video. 9/10 those security cameras are recording static or the quality sucks.

Hunt them down, torture them, then kill them.

You should look on the bright side, the vandals did not key your car or tear the cab top.

Since I was keyed on week after I bought my car I know it could have been worse.

Default Some Tips for Not Encouraging Vandalism

Sorry to hear about the damage to your cars. Disconcerting to hear that vandalism like that happens. For what it's worth, here are some suggestions for not encouraging that type of behavior, though in reality if someone wants to do that there is not much that can prevent it short of hiring a security guard to watch over your car at all times. But generally speaking, and these are obvious really, whenever possible park your car in a highly visible area where there's a lot of traffic of potential witnesses; i.e. don't park it in a hidden spot that will serve as cover for criminals. Don't hog up two spaces when you park - that really pisses off the types who don't need an excuse. And this one may be a little late for some, but I think having a personalized plate that flaunts your prized possession will generate resentment in those inclined to even the score in an unfair society.

Please tell me that some security camera was able to capture what happened... stuff like this really pisses me off.

On a side note, Brian Garfield, the author of Death Wish, wrote that novel after coming out of a shopping plaza to see his Porsche Cabriolet top slashed... little trivia to try to cheer you up.

Sorry to hear of this vandalism.

Good tips Ben. It's to a point where I drive the "Trailblazer" most places to avoid the risk. There seems to be a huge resentment in the world between the have's and have nots. When I do park the P it's ususally an area I've scoped out before and feel is safe and or a place where I can somewhat keep an eye on it. It's kind of nuts to have to be this ****. Fortunately the car is not a daily driver.

My Ford Escape was purchased shortly after buying my old 996...Just Can't take the P-Car some places without worrying.

Sorry to hear about it but you should look at it as a blessing to not have been keyed, they took mercy on you!

I would love to have enough money to hire a car guard to go with me everywhere and stand by the car. Some bald guy at 6"4 250 who could jump out of his car if someone got to close and kick the crap out of some punkass kid!

I can't wait for the day someone invents a practical force field to protect a car and other prized possessions. That someone will be very rich someday, and I can't wait to send him his first paycheck!

Your NEW cab? Christ, you just picked her up from the dealer. That's flippin' heartbreaking.

May the Gods give the guilty ***** painful ulcerative colitis... and skin rot.
