Default OEM short shifter review-1600 miles.

My factory short shift has really settled in nicely. It is not as stiff and does not take as long to really warm up in the morning. I hardly notice it anymore...

Shifting is short and smooth!

A must have in the 997!

Thumbs up

I agree
It is really starting to loosen up quite nicely, getting to the point where three fingered shifting is possible.

I'm very happy with the OEM one as well, it does feel smooth and accurate.

May I ask what the dealer charged for the job? I am considering adding it, seems like it could be a DIY but if reasonable i'll let the dealer do it..

Thanks!

Thanks 930, sounds like i'll have it done rather than mess with it... will check with ol' Dan at Hairy Dog Garage near me, see what he thinks.

Trying to!! I'm signed up for 3/18 and 3/19 at Limerock, both of which are going to be cancelled because of all the snow, next date is in June at Watkins Glen for 2 days, hope that works!!
