Smile Just Picked up my 997S Tonight

I just got back from the dealer where I picked up my new and first Pcar!
Of course I got caught in rush hour traffic in Houston and only got to go about 10 to 20 miles an hour almost all the way back home for 5 miles...Quite a drag! But Saturday is looming with great weather..so I will be driving like I stole it all weekend. Will post pics on Saturday. I waited from mid December until today. It rolled off the truck yesterday. It is great to finally get my hands on this baby. I have been reading with envy all you other cats who have already got yours. Thanks for reading! Paul in Houston!

Congratulations my friend. At least another waiter has been set free. I can't wait to see the pics. Do me a favore take a shot with the lights on so I can see it lit up on the dash. When I get my baby I'm going to get up at sunrise and drive that baby until I run out of gas. Enjoy.

Lets see a tight pic of the Thicker steering wheel!!

Cool part about the nighttime design of the "S" instruments is that they illuminate Black at night, not White

Felcher997s, you must be living very close to me. You picked up your car either from the I-10 or the 59. Yes we have two dealers within 20 minutes from our house. You had no reason to delay the pictures as it was perfect weather today :-))
If you see the Carmon Red its me :-))

Default A few impressions

I picked the Blk/Blk 997s up on Friday later afternoon. It had 13.8 miles on the clock when delivered to me. On Thursday when it came off the truck (I was there) at the dealer it showed 13 miles on it. I was really happy to see that mine came with the Michelin Pilot Sport tires instead of any other brand. I drove it on Saturday and Sunday and so far have put on 101 miles of street driving and just running a few errands and just cruisng around. I did drive on one of our toll roads here in Houston. My kids enjoyed seeing the speedo read 125 MPH before I backed off a bit. I am breaking it in like this "Driving it like I stole it". I have red lined on at least 5 occasions, this car just runs beautifully. There are so many new things to learn with this car, like all of the assorted buttons. I have yet to really read the owners manual. Maybe PV here in Houston can get together with me and show me a few things. I do love the Thicker Steering Wheel option! feels great with my hands wrapped around it. Anyway, I am gonna do alittle night driving tonight. The only little problem is that I have a drivers side small wind leak above 80 MPH. I've got a BF Smile on my face right now just thinking about driving tonight. Will post the pics in a little bit as I gotta shrink the file size. Paul In Houston, Texas

Any time this coming weeks to meet. I'm sitting on the west side of town.

Be carefull on the Beltway, a lot of hidden friends out there. Night driving is fine too, open the roof and the windows.

I tried to post some pic's, but one way or another I didn't succeed.

Car looks fantastic, but what I am really admiring is your weather! Wow, what a gorgeous day. Snow most of this weekend here; still lots of salt on the road.
Enjoy!!

Yeah those pics made me really miss summer... oh man, another couple of weeks.

Great car, looks fantastic... black is my favorite color. As soon as I get tired of my Seal Grey I'm going to repaint the car black.

Congrats!

I love the wheel! reminds me of the 70/80s 3 spoke! Actually I like everything about the car! Sweet!

your rear end shot looks great and reminds me of the "wide body" post here a few weeks back, looks as wide to me!
