I think I'll wait for the $350 "Carbon Look" gas cap.

Not trying to justify the product. But, the tick marks between 30 and 40 would be 32, 34, 36, 38. Thirty-three would be right in between 32 and 34. This configuration is not that unusual.

It looks nothing like that Gas cap in the picture. I also must say I agree it's kind of a stupid buy.... If it was metal it would add weight and you only see it once or twice a week. However I bought it because I was boared at work and it looked cool. None the less nothing in my life that I have bought on a wim (there has been plenty) has ever pissed me off like this!

What's it look like, maybe they sent the wrong one?

Re. tire gauge. Its still inaccurate without the tick marks. The old Porsche gauge without the hose was better. I think this one is made in China and is just a gauge with the logo on it. Porsche probably had nothing to do with it. You can see by the picture that it doesn't even reset to 0.

They have to be plastic. A metal one is a liability for Porsche.

Do you like gas fumes and static electricity sparks combined?

One of the local dealers had one in a glass display case in the parts department. I should have asked to touch it.

Sorry but i just have to laugh, i mean its a gas cap... who cares??? If they had the external race car type set up like on the viper, audi tt, eclipse, ford gt, etc... MAYBE it would be worth 150. Im not one to worry about money much, but I really hate stupidity, which would include paying more for something, when you can get it for less without even trying... After all its part of how the rich stay rich...
crap like this makes buying a ferrari more attractive every day...

Biggest waste of $40. Now I use a cheapo digital I got from Costco. Here's a pic of it...

Sad thing is I went to the unveiling of the 2005 Ford Mustang and got a free kit, with a great little guage that's got the little thing that pops out the end and tells you, and a penlight, and a pen - all made of aluminum - and all compliments of Ford.
