Default Scratched up my wheel!

In an incident that isn't worth getting into my back left lobster claw got nicked up. Going to have to replace it and was wondering if anyone knows what one of these go for. Thanks for the info.

I was quoted nearly $1000 from Porsche, which is complete BS. You can find them on eBay for around $500 or less.

Moogle is right about the wheel repair. If the damage isn't too severe they can fix it for a couple hundred dollars max.

Just get it repaired. Simple, inexpensive and effective. It will look like new.

Weissy,

Send the damaged wheel to 'Wheel Collision Center' in Bath, PA. They have a website. Many of the Porsche, Mercedes, etc dealers in NYS use them. They are pros. They refinished my 18" TT hollow spokes last year. Unbelievable job and very fast.

I don't know how bad your wheel is scratched, but it happened to me when I took my 996 through a car wash and I took it to Marmin Collision Specialists, 517 East 73rd St., NYC. (212) 327-3486, and they buffed it right out for less than $100. Ask for Gary Garr and tell him Jack Hassid recommended him.
