Default installing clear side markers?!?!

can some one point me to some instructions on how to remove the existing amber side markers. i tried using the intructions in the manual. i havent received the clear ones yet so i dont exactly know which metal spring/piece im feeling for to press. the access hole behind the lens is so small and its hard enought to even place a screwdriver in. thanks in advance

I looked at the little hole they suggest using in the Owners Manual..forget it. Just put a flathead screwdriver in the back and pop it out. Remove the harness and attach it to the new clear side markers. Pop them back in. Someone posted pics of their install on this board. Do a search...

Instructions are in owner's manual (that's how you change the bulb). Instructions show inserting a screwdriver into the hole to push the spring clip back. On mine, one popped out very easily but I used the screwdriver on the other to avoid damage trying to pry it out.

The head mechanic changed mine out at delivery without using a screwdriver. He said that he didn't see a reason to scratch the paint.

I used a screwdriver covered with a soft cloth. No paint scratched.

I pulled it out with my fingers on a car in the showroom during the Boxster open house my dealer had last month. Same way we do it on 996/986.

When the sales people were not looking.

they PULL right out, reinstallation may require some sort of screwdriver to push the pin back in so that it can 'hook'

You guys were right. Super easy to install and look great on my Arctic Silver car. Highly recommend. Now if only it didn't show the yellow bulb.

There are apparently some bulbs that look clear but light up amber. Someone posted something about this here or on rennteam. You might want to do a search...
