Default Need advice on 997 S cab

Hi,

I currently have a 996 TT, stage 3 upgrades, tiptronic, Alpine nav and sound system, bluetooth handsfree, xm radio, the works.

The problem is the lease is expiring after 4 years.

Since there is no new 997 Turbo yet, I'm thinking of a 997 C2 S Cab, 2 year lease. 997 C2 S Cab should have good power (I'll get manual shift) and the Cab will be a good change.

I'm not sure when the new 997 TT will be out.

What would you do in this situation?

Thanks!

I would trade the TT for any 6-speed available.

With all the upgrades you have done to the turbo - why not buy it at the end of the lease term?

I've made up my mind, thanks for the comments.

I'm getting the first 997 S Cab that is coming to the dealer, probably in 4 weeks. The biggest factor when I made this decision is I want a cab this time, I could have leased a 2 year Turbo cab, but there is a lot of new technology in the 997. I've been driving the 996 TT for 4 years now, and I want a different engine, different feeling. Because 997 S lacks the 4 wheel drive, it felt sportier and the engine revs so nicely.

It's for 2 years anyways, and if the Turbo/Turbo Cab comes sooner than that I can get out of this lease after a year.

Thanks again for sharing your opinions.

Make the dealer promise you their first 997 TT allocation as part of the 997S Cab deal!

oh its going to take more than that, a surprising number of dealers already have cash deposits and a waiting list for the 997TT

I tried to put down a deposit on 997 TT but my dealer would not take it. They said its way too early and they do not even have a list. The dealers that have a list are just fooling themsleves and the their customers or in other word are not being honest.

It's ok with my dealer, I'm customer number 0 on the 997 S Cab, and I'm sure they will help me to get a 997 TT when it comes out. I might also wait for the 997 TT Cab as well.
