Valentine 1 install in 997? (Where to put the remote?)

Here is how I mounted my V1 remote in my CTT. Not as "custom" as some I've seen but it works well and will be easily removable. I like to change cars often. I highly recommend to remote if you don't like people riding your a$$ because they can see the lights from behind.

The remote might work above the steering wheel, though it does block part of the display in the 997S (bottom display under tach) (pics with and without display):

Mute and Mode selection are controlled by the Control **** on the Rmote Display (On-Off and Volume adjustments remain on V1).

I really like the clean install. It goes into the lighting cluster? Any install pics? Thanks.

I put the remote in the back of the cubby in front of the gear shift. It's dark so you can see readouts in bright sun with roof open but is not visible when car locked up . You can press buttons safely w/o putting hand through steering wheel like with mounting on steering column whose location not only blocks instrument gauges/warning lights but also alerts thieves that a V1 is probably put away in the glove box . MJones, if I convince you why, maybe I can sell you mine since I don't know where to put it! Actually, I think the two reasons are (a) make the arrows/lights less visible to LEO's, and (b) easier to see without looking away from the road. Ideally I'd like it forward of the steering wheel, but it sits too high and blocks the lower portion of the tach and associated indicators. I have the V1 mounted to the left of the rear view mirror and think that's where I will keep it (intend to hard wire it when I get time), so its not that difficult to read the indicators on it, though you still have to look up at it.
Where's your car??? Hope you get it soon!
